We are the specialists for Split System Air Conditioners – one of the most popular types of air conditioning systems used in homes today.

A split system is ‘split’ into two units: one that’s inside, and one that’s outside. Relatively easy to install (as no ductwork is required), these systems are known for being quiet and energy efficient.

Indoor Unit. The part of an air conditioning unit that’s located within the home, and provides the ‘conditioned’ air into the space. This unit contains a heat exchange coil, filters, remote signal receiver and fan.

Outdoor Unit. This is the part of an air conditioning system that contains the compressor, propeller fan, circuit board and heat exchange coil. It’s situated outside, and pumps refrigerant to and from its companion indoor unit. You’ll often hear this unit referred to as the ‘condenser’ or ‘heat exchanger’.

Split Systems are popular in apartments and or houses in single rooms due to the fact that only 2 parts are required to be installed.

To get the perfect split system to suit your needs, let us give you the right advice. We service all Melbourne south east suburbs.

How Do Split Systems Work?

Split air conditioning systems have their name due to half the system (condenser) being outside the house while the other half (fan coil) is installed inside.

When cooling, the warm air from inside the room is taken in by the fan coil and removed, resulting in cool air recirculating back into the house.

While reverse cycle allows for the heat pump to run in reverse to provide heating during cold days.

Wall mounted split air conditioning systems are the most commonly owned residential air conditioning system, as they are affordable, easy to maintain and require no duct work.

Split System Advantages

Smart Technology

The latest Inverter technology is your key to more comfort as it maintains a constant temperature, saves costs (through less energy consumption) and produces relatively less noise when used.

Value for Money

Wall mounted AC split systems are the most affordable option for a single room, apartment or small house as they are relatively cheap to buy (depending on how many indoor units you require) and there is no duct work required.

Temperature Control

Each indoor unit is able to control the room that it is installed in, thus each room can have a different temperature allowing you total independent control.

Air Quality

Many split air conditioning systems have air filtering and humidity control functions that regulate the amount of dust and humidity in a room.
